St. Jude 2017 Kid Glove Game:
Join the St. Jude Parish at the 2017 Cincinnati Reds Kid Glove Game on May 23rd against the Cleveland Indians.

Tickets are $12 each and can be ordered with this form. Seats typically are $19.

This is a great event for the parish and the families to enjoy a Red’s game with their fellow parishioners and support the St. Jude Baseball and Softball programs. St. Jude Baseball and Softball programs will receive $10.00 back in equipment for each ticket purchased. Tickets available up to May 23rd. Tickets are limited.

To receive tickets please follow the below instructions:

2. Click the Yellow Box that says “Attend the Event”
3. Choose the # of people attending
4. Please choose the Payment Type to Use
5. Enter your Payment Details
6. Fill in the information about your child’s team, coach, etc.

8. Click Submit

UPDATE St. Jude Baseball National Tryouts MAKE UP
9U/11U/13U National – Sunday August 14th 2-3:30pm, at St. Jude Field 1.

Make up for all 9U, 11U, and 13U players who missed the July tryout out. Players will be grouped and evaluated by their specific age group.
Players will be evaluated and rated by a group of impartial observers. Players making the National team the prior year are not guaranteed a spot for the following season. After tryouts, the coaches and St. Jude Baseball Committee will determine if a National team will be fielded. This will be based upon coach preference, player ability, team composition, and number of players signing up in each age level. American Teams:
Players not making a National team will play on an American team.  Teams will be created by the coaches of the teams the following January after sign-ups are complete.  The number of teams at the American level will depend on the number of players participating that year.  11 or 12 players per team is desired, but teams may be comprised of more players depending on the number of sign-ups.   The goal is to spread the talent as evenly as possible amongst the American teams while keeping the roster size manageable.  Teams will likely be comprised of both grades at the age level (9U - 2nd and 3rd grades, 11U - 4th and 5th grades, 13U - 6th and 7th grades, 15U - 8th and 9th grades).   There will be a 13U National Division and American Divison in 2015, but there is only a single division in 15U.  

 

5U - 7U Teams:
5U - 7U teams will be created in February after sign-ups are completed.  Coaches will divide the teams at each level.  Depending on the number of sign-ups, kindergarteners are on the same teams and 1st graders are on the same.  Teams are then placed in league divisions based on average age.  Games are on 8 consecutive Fridays starting in late April.  7U teams can enter the league tournament in June.  


Sign-ups/Payment:
Online Sign-Ups for 9U-15U age groups are open from December 1 until January 15. Online sign-ups for 5U-7U are open from January 1 until February 19. Payment will only be accepted online.  Fee for T-Ball and Coach Pitch is $50.  Fee for 9U-15U is $90.  A player must still sign up even if that player participated in tryouts in September.  If you have questions please contact Tom James.


Field Work Day:
Volunteers are needed to help clean up the field.  Date will be detrmined based on weather, but is usually one of the first three Saturdays in March.


Hats:
Hats are available for purchase from Tom James while supplies last.  Cost is $20.  


Bat restrictions:
The league, in 2013, will adopt the same bat restrictions that other leagues in the area are adopting for safety reasons.  All bats at the 9U-13U level must have the 1.15  BPF mark and any bat used by 15U must have the BBCOR mark on it. Dick's and other sporting goods stores have bats with these marks on them.  If you have any questions concerning baseball please contact Tom James.
 


Jersey care instructions from the manufacturer:
Please do not:
* Wash in warm water
* Put in dryer at any setting
* Use bleach of any kind, including detergents that have bleach in them
* Use fabric softeners
